Overview 

EventGeek syncs with Google Calendar at every level of your event portfolio. You can put the following on any Google Calendar:

  • An event
  • A task
  • A schedule (including travel)
  • All events in a team
  • All tasks for an event
  • All tasks for all events in a team

Note: events, tasks and schedules require start dates or due dates to appear in Google Calendar.

Note: calendar integrations is conditional to teammate Roles. So if your teammate is not able to see an event, task or schedule in EventGeek, they will not be able to add it to Google Calendar either.

The Share Button

To access the Google Calendar sync, look for the Share button icon in the appropriate view (team, event, task or schedule) and select the Add to calendar option.

Google Calendar "Events"

Selecting the Add to calendar option on the following views opens a new Google Calendar "event" in a new tab:

  • An event
  • A task
  • A schedule (including travel)

The Google Calendar "event" with contain all the relevant details, from the event, task or schedule, including the description, assignees, etc.

From here, you can add any teammates as Guests and they will have this event, task or schedule on their Google Calendar.

iCal Subscriptions

Selecting the Add to calendar option on the following views produces an iCal Subscription link:

  • All events in a team
  • All tasks for an event
  • All tasks for all events in a team

Copy the link and go to Google Calendar. Find the Other Calendars section towards the bottom of the sidebar and select the Add by URL option.

Paste the iCal Subscription link from EventGeek into the URL field. Click the "Add Calendar" button.

In a few seconds, the events or tasks will appear in your or your teammate's calendar. 

You can find the imported calendar as a new entry on the Other Calendars section. Any changes made to the events or tasks in EventGeek will now appear in Google Calendar.

Note: the initial sync to your calendar should be instant, but updates via iCal may take up to a day.
